Latest beta version of Samsung Internet includes new search, privacy features

Samsung has released an update for the beta version of the Samsung Internet web browser for Android devices. The updated version of the app brings two very useful features that will make web browsing on this app easier and more secure than ever before.

The first feature is the ability for you to search bookmark folders and tab groups in the browser. If you save a lot of bookmarks or have many tabs open, you may find that it can be difficult to find the bookmark or tab you want. With the updated version of the app, you can just type in the search box the bookmark or tab you are looking for and the app will bring it up for you.

Another feature is the ability to delete browsing history within a specified time frame. For example, if you set the browsing data with time limit to one week, the browser will delete the browsing history of the last seven days while preserving the previous browsing history. Earlier, the only option people had was to delete the entire browsing history.

Both features have been available in browsers such as Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge for a very long time. While Samsung is late to the party, we’re glad it’s at least here. The two features are expected to arrive in the stable version of the app very soon. In the meantime, you can download Samsung Internet Browser Beta from the Google Play Store or Galaxy Store.
