The Critics’ Choice Awards returned to their usual January time slot for the 2022 ceremony after being delayed by more than two months amid a rise in COVID-19 cases. And with style icons like Zendaya and Janelle Monae among this year’s nominees — for their roles in “Euphoria” and “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery,” respectively — all eyes are on the red carpet as the stars arrive at L.A.’s Fairmont Century Come to the Plaza. hotel.

Last week’s Golden Globes, the first major awards show of 2023, signaled which movies and TV shows Hollywood critics might love, with “Abbott Elementary” and “The Banshees of Inishrin” both winning big. It also suggested that this year’s celebrity evening dresses could be all about black lace, ruffles and daring cutouts.
