Kodak Black was arrested in Florida on charges of drug trafficking and drug possession.
In 2020, Kodak Black's three-year federal prison sentence was cut short by then-President Donald Trump.
The rapper, whose real name is Bill Kapri, was taken to jail in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Friday. He will stay there until a bond hearing.
Black was driving a purple SUV with darker-than-legal window tints, according to the FHP.
They smelled marijuana and searched the SUV, finding 31 white tablets and $75,000 cash.
On Twitter on Friday, Black's lawyer, Bradford Cohen, said that they plan to "resolve the matter quickly" once Black is out on bond.
"Never Judge a case based on an arrest," he wrote. "There are always additional facts and circumstances that give rise to a defense, especially in this case."
In January 2020, then-President Donald Trump let rapper Black out of a three-year federal prison sentence he got for making fake documents to buy guns.
Black has shows planned, including a performance at the Rolling Loud Festival in Miami in 2022. The day of his show is July 24.
