Snapchat users complain about login issues on social media.

Snapchat users are annoyed by login problems started posting complaints in droves on social media early Tuesday.

Around 6 a.m. PT, users started tweeting about the problem, saying that some Snapchat users reported freezing while others reported being automatically locked out.

Uptime tracking websites like Down Detector and Services Down showed signs of the issues.

The number of outage reports on both websites significantly increased between early in the morning and past noon Pacific Time.

Most reports were concerned with logging in.

A support tweet from Santa Monica-based Snap stated that they were "aware of an issue preventing some Snapchatters from logging in.

Urged users to "Hang tight, we are looking into it and working on a remedy" roughly 90 minutes after the issues initially appeared.

On Tuesday, at about 9 a.m., the Snapchat website page displayed a sudden surge of reports.


Approximately 90% of the reports listed "logins" as the main problem, with a few also mentioning "app" and "server" problems.
By 10:30 a.m.

The increase in reports was still going strong and hardly started to decline.
